Ron's Christmas PotLuck

Ron had his Command Christmas Potluck yesterday. The food was good and the beer and mixed drinks were a plenty...lol!
I took deviled eggs and cheesy hashbrown casserole....yummy! We didn't drink, but we had a nice time. Sitting around and shooting the breeze with some crusty old sailor's was and absolute hoot! This is what hubby is in the Navy....a Yellow-shirt! For those who don't understand...it stands for Flight Deck Lead Chief Petty Officer. Oh how he misses being on the ship! But we are at the end of his time in the service...and ready to start a whole new adventure of being civilians! YEAH!!!

No way..no how..lol! That's only me and our families! He would stay a Sailor until he was 70 if he could!! He'll still be close to the service when his out...we'll be living very near a Naval Installation where he will work as a civilian. We both are very excited about living closer to home and seeing family whenever we want too!! He's getting use to the idea, but the Navy has been his life for so long. You know what they say..."When a door closes, God opens a window"...:o)

Hi Wendy,
My name is Deanna. I was bloghopping tonight and came across your sweet blog. I read quite a bit of it and I throughly enjoyed it. You have a beautiful family. I loved all of your pictures as well.

My own brother in-law is fixing to retire from the Air Force. I know he wanted to stay in a little longer but is reluctant to leave San Antonio if he stays in. My husband and I moved from Lubbock in 2003 to live here in San Antonio when they got stationed here in 2001. I think he will miss it yes, but he is wanting to finish college and feel a bit freer to leave on vacations when the mood strikes!

I like your Talk to Me. Don't Stalk...I call it "lurking" but I really don't lurk. I like to read a new blog from start to current post.

If it's all right with you I would like to add your sweet blog to my Timeless Things fave's list. Sometimes you just need a big dose of a family blog to keep you real.

Hop on over when you get a chance and take a look around my blog so that you can feel comfortable being on my list.

Can't wait for your post!

Warmly,
Deanna :)

Hi Wendy! Thanks for leaving me a message. I am so delighted to have you join my list of favorite places to visit. I'll give your blog an intro before I place the Holiday pictures my family, friends and blogger friends have sent.

If you have some pictures of your home or Christmas tree I will be very happy to post it on my Christmas blog and on Timeless Things. I just love to look at other people's trees and how they decorate them.

I am looking forward to reading many wonderful posts from you.

Many blessing to you and yours,
Deanna :)
