What a wonderful sight! This flag is flying high over my hometown of Fairhope!

Ron we missed you! But we were so glad you had the boy's and the Chief's...who won because you were there to cheer them on....heehee!

Our favorite place to eat in Fairhope. They peel the shrimp right there when you order them. GROSS! My kids love it though....they are serious seafood addicts..lol!

This is my favorite place to eat in Mobile! We love the owners. Fred and Sherry from Philly! They make the best Cheese steak outside of Philly! Hands down...Yummie!

I LOVE CHEESE STEAKS!!!!!!
I promise we didn't go down just for the food...maybe...no really. We are so blessed to be close to home and able to go and visit when ever we can! I love seeing my family and can't wait to be back on the Gulf Coast!

Vandalized!

Sometime on Saturday Night a group of hoodlum teenagers went through our neighborhood destroying mailboxes! We called the Police on Sunday and we were the 12th call of the day. In all 17 mailboxes were hit. The crappy part is the Police only estimated our mailbox to be worth $40 bucks. I was like..do what..LOL! You can't even buy a mailbox at Lowe's for $40 dollars plus the labor it will cause me to install it...UGH! Stupid-head boys!

20 Year Anniversary

Congratulations Ron! Today is Ron's 20th anniversary in the Navy. He has fought an uphill battle to remain in the service these last 8 years. Through his courage, determination, perseverance, and sheer will power to push his body to the extreme did he surprise all his doctor's and commanding officers. He has done things that boggle our minds to hang onto his career and continue to climb the ladder of enlistment. As we near the end of his career we look back on all the people we have met and the places we have seen and only feel joy for the experiences the Navy has given to us! I have no regrets....Ron only has one...making E-9! That one could not be helped.....he stuck it out as long as the Navy would let him...so unfortunately there was just not enough time! But, believe me, he had until he reached 26 years to make E-9....he would have done it!!

I love you Ron....for all the sacrifices you have made for our family and for the unconditional love you pour on us everyday. You did it baby! Relax now....if you can!

FABULOUS!

Sorry the pictures are so orange. We could not use the flash. We were completely over dressed...should have known we would be...I'm mean this is the south....most everyone was wearing jeans and nice tee's. I wore a dress and heels. Wish I would have gone more casual. Oh well live and learn!

The theater was so beautiful! Our seats were very close to the stage. Ron earned major brownie points for that..:o)
It was surreal seeing her in person. She was amazing. Very offensive and I loved it! She did not hold back the way she does on her shows. She totally "went there"! And her "gays" were there in record numbers...lol! Have not seen that may gay people since I went to see Brokeback Mountain...yes I saw it! It was haunting and beautiful! Anyways...she ROCKED it out! I think Ron was a little lost for some of it...but he was totally laughing his booty off! It was great to just laugh and be silly for a night with Ron! We really had a awesome time!

Wish you could see her face, but the spot light was just to bright. I took at least 20 pic's but they all turned out this way :o( Kathy did not do an appearance after the show. No pictures or autographs...that's okay though...I still love her!

I love her shows "My Life on the D List and her specials on Bravo, Strong Black Woman and Straight to Hell!" I'm totally going to hang out and try to get a picture with her and her Emmy! I'm such a stalker..LOL!

Happy Labor Day!

Hope everyone will have a safe and Happy Labor Day! We are going to grill some chicken(of course) and hang out and swim before we shut the pool down for the season. I hate the end of summer......it's definitely my favorite season! I know I'm weird...but I love when the kids are out of school and we can travel to see all our family! Anyhoo...have a great day!

Prayers for the Gulf Coast!

Sending out my prayers for my family and the people who chose to stay in Mobile! Luckily my Mom and Stepdad decided to go to Dothan AL to stay with my Aunt Mollie! But my brothers are staying and riding it out with their families. I love you guys...be careful!
Gustav is a Category 2 and barreling down on Louisiana! It's only been three years since Katrina and they are still recovering from that Hurricane. May god have mercy on them all!
