My 29th Birthday!

Matthew's in the 6th Grade Band!

Today was a big day for Matthew! He got his instrument...The Trumpet! He was super excited and could not stop smiling! Dad is beaming as well...he played Trumpet in Middle and High School! It's so cute...he has a little music stand...I think he sat there for at least 2 hours blowing away on his horn..LOL! I'm glad he takes after his daddy though...no musical talent in me I'm afraid!

We got an awesome deal on it! Ron was talking to a guy at work last week and mentioned that Matthew had joined the Middle School Band and was assigned the Trumpet! The guy said his son was in the High School Band and was upgrading his Trumpet. He was more than happy to sell it to us! He had paid $300 for it three years ago and offered to sell it to us for $125...YAY! When I went to the school to show it to the band teacher "Mr. Wommach" he said we got a steal. For a used one it was $500 through the company the school uses...you go on a payment plan if you don't have the money...it's like $30 bucks a month. I was very happy and so was Matthew! So, now the loft has become the music room...because Mom's ears are old and worn out...LOL!

Went to our home opener game tonight night! BHS vs Frayser! We kicked their butts....42-14! I was very nervous about going because, we had told Matthew last year "when you start middle school we will let you walk around the game with some friends!" Now,I'm scared! I trust him to an extent...but he is a boy! Will he always do the right thing...NO! He has moments were he has lapses in judgement...or as I like to call them "stupid boy tricks!" But, he did awesome! He was able to walk around with his friend Zach. He had a great time. Mollie was with her friends and enjoying the game and all the boy's...LOL!! My babies are so grown up..:o( Before I know it they will be out of our home and doing their own thing. I'm so proud of both of them...I love my kids and wish them all the happiness in the world!

Mamma Mia Rocked!

Saw Mamma Mia yesterday with Mollie! It was AMAZING! I loved it...Mollie liked it but was embarrassed by my singing..LOL! I can't help it, everyone knows I'm a huge ABBA fan......I still think I'm the Dancing Queen...winkwink! The whole cast was awesome....they could really sing! Can't wait to own this one on DVD...I love musicals! Go see it with your girlfriends......there were no men in the theater...lol! Ron was relieved when I took Mollie instead of him...heehee!

I'm so luck to have such wonderful niece's and nephew's. Our family is so blessed with wonderful kids! We are so proud of them all! My wish is to see them all more often.....they are growing up way to fast. Slow down will ya....lol!

Elvis Week in Memphis

What can you say about Elvis! He was one of a kind! I remember watching him on TV and thinking....he's so cute! My grandmother (aka..granny) would play his gospel albums over and over! I was obsessed by "Burning Love"...would shake my booty all over the farm, with my handheld AM radio. I was so cool with my one ear phone for it! Thanks to my PawPaw who didn't want to hear my hippy music.....lol! It did not save him from my singing though...YIKES!

So, it's Elvis week here and people still go crazy for him. All kinds of events at Graceland! Movies being show at night, Elvis Expo, Candlelight Vigil, and live performances! It's weird to see so many people dressed like Elvis! I wonder....what if he had lived longer....would it still be this mayhem surrounding him.......YES! Elvis will always be one of a kind!

His sideburns were to much for me but, we still loved him! Plus, I have a weakness for Bell Bottoms...LOL! I had the cutest pair...even had a huge flower embroider on the back pocket...heehee!

Okay, it was one of two books on my nightstand...the other one was "The Guardian" by Dee Henderson. So, now I have to tag someone.....let me see....Miss Tayde dig out a book...heehee! I tag you!

One of my favorites! ;o)

Last year the family and I were doing some shopping in Fairhope AL. when we decided to go into The Fairhope Fudge Emporium for some delicious Sugar-Free Fudge and Waffle Cones that would make your eyes bug out of your head there so good! It's so wonderful you don't even realize that the fudge is sugar-free. While the kids were picking out their ice cream, I was browsing around the shop when I found these wonderful tumblers. Double insulated, so no rings left by condensation. I bought only one, but went back the next day and bought another one. They are FABULOUS! You can buy lids and straws as well! My ice stays for hours and hours...with the lid! Later on...I got one for my siblings, Donna a Lacrosse and Chet a Florida Gators. I gave a my mom the glitter one. Everyone loves them! I also ordered through their web-site a couple of coffee mugs...it stays so hot! So now I can't be without these tumblers. I love them! http://www.tervis.com/

It's Over...:o(

I'm suffering from the Twilight Saga being over...:o( I feel actual pain knowing Breaking Dawn is the last one of the series. I literal cried over the last page when it said "THE END"! None of the books have that phrase in them, it was shocking...hehe! Mrs. Meyer is doing a 5th book but it's a re-make of Twilight, only it's in Edward's perspective. If you have a high school girl you have to buy her these books...they are filled with first love, adventure, friendship, and humor! It's silly how addicted I became over theses books. I'm a grown woman with a secret...lol! I love Edward Cullen...hehehe!

My Favorite Thing!

After being inspired by little Tommy and his 7 things for school (wink wink)....and a little nod to Oprah's favorite things...I have decided to tell ya'll about my new favorite thing. I'm totally digging Coffee-Mate's new flavor "Tiramisu"....it is super yummy! Funny, I have never eaten Tiramisu...not really a southern thang...hehe...but I am addicted to this creamer. I hope it's not a season flavor...can't be without it now...lol! Oh well, maybe their next one will be just as good. Enjoy!

First Day of School

Today is the kids first day of school. Only a half day, but very important to Matthew. It's his first day of Middle School. He was so nervous, and his facial tics were going into overtime! He has had major anxiety for the last 3 weeks. Poor guy just wants to be "normal".....and middle school kids are so mean! My stomach was doing somersault as I watched him board the bus.....I was behind a huge Crape Myrtle spying...hehe! I'm so glad that Mollie is on the bus with him. First time that's happened since Mollie was in 5th grade and Matthew was in Kindergarten.





My sweet babies are no longer babies! :o(

Now they are eye rolling teenagers...lol!

BREAKING DAWN Release Party

We got to our B&N at 7:00pm. We had a really awesome place in line to get our wristbands! We were only 15 from the front! But the cool thing was that was only for what order you would be call to come up and purchase your book.....well at about 11:10pm I decided to let the girls just roam around the store and I would see if I could sneak into the front of the line and just wait it out! Well...it worked! We were first in line!!!! WOOHOO!!!! We were out the door at 12:10am. I made the girls read to me all the way home....lol! Then, I did not go to bed! I stayed up reading all night long....I finished the book at 6:15pm tonight. It was an extremely emotional roller coaster ride. I cried, I laughed, I got pissed, and I LOVED every minute of it!!!!! I will be in a coma tonight! I didn't think I had it in me to stay awake....but the book was so amazing it was not hard at all! Ron was a little freak out when he got up and realized I had not gone to bed...hehehe! But he completely understood why! Sorry but I have an addiction!!!!

We got to meet Seth the webmaster of http://www.stepeniemeyer.com/! He was so nice and answer every question throw at him by 300 screaming teenage girls....lol! We had so much fun....we answered all our trivia questions right so we got Breaking dawn Buttons.......and if you pre-ordered you got a sheet of really cool Stickers! My favorite is I <3 Edward!

All in all......it was a FABULOUS night! I will remember it as a wonderful experience that Mollie and I will never forget! Love ya Mollie girl!!!!

Breaking Dawn Bash!

Tonight is Mollie's big night at Barns&Noble's Breaking Dawn Release Party! She is over the moon about this Series. But, truth be told so am I.....hehe! I'm loading up the van and taking all her friends up there @7:00pm! Now, it does not offically start until 10:00pm, but we want to get parking. Then we will walk over to the Mall! Say a prayer for me.....giddy teenage girls and the mall...lol! The really cool thing about it is that Seth the WebMaster on http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/ will be at our Barns&Noble for a Q/A & Book Signing. But, the bad thing about it is lots and lots of teenage girls worked up into a frenzy...lol! I'm taking my camera, because there is a costume contest, prom pictures (got to read the book to know why), and games. So, all in all it should be a riot! Wish me luck......EDWARD RULES!
